PAG-ASA is a ministry under Globe Mission Germany e.V., dedicated to serving people, especially children, in urban communities in Manila.
At Pag-asa we don’t believe that there are hopeless people or situations; we do, however, recognize that there are many children growing up in difficult and challenging environments all across the world who just don’t have very much hope yet. That is why we exist, to step in, to bring hope and bring the message of the Gospel to at-risk children in urban centers.
We believe that prevention is better than intervention; that reaching the next generation at an early age and introducing them to the love and hope of Christ is the best chance at setting their young life on the right road.
We serve, however, not only children but also their families and other adults, to reach them with the hope we have in Jesus through word and deed as a wholistic ministry, being there for the one, for the neighbor whom we meet.
Join us in our vision to spread love and hope in various ways, especially to underprivileged urban communities in Manila, Philippines.
14 Jesus said, “Let the little children come to me, and do not hinder them, for the kingdom of heaven belongs to such as these.”

And hope does not put us to shame, because God's love has been poured into our hearts through the Holy Spirit who has been given to us.

Pag-Asa means 'hope' in the Filipino language. As Pag-Asa workers, we aim
for the expansion of God's kingdom and the proclamation of His good news. We want to see
individuals be moved by the love of God, grow in their relationship to Him and find an unshakable
hope in Jesus Christ. Their talents being nurtured, these individuals will unfold their potential and
use it for the glory of God, as well as for creating a better future for themselves and their children.
We want to see people emerge out of poverty into a fulfilled life and a sense of responsibility for
their community. A special focus shall be on ministering to kids because they cannot fend for
themselves yet and are therefore in a particularly vulnerable situation if growing up under difficult
circumstances. Kids are the hope of tomorrow.
Mission:
We seek to build relationships, especially to the materially disadvantaged people in urban
communities, to show them the love of God, bind up the broken-hearted and bring hope to the
hopeless. This is done through Bible studies, house to house visitation, evangelism, prayer,
discipleship, Creative Arts programs and workshops, education, Youth and children's program and
church services.
In addition, Pag-Asa intends to nurture talents and gifts and inspire people to live out their God-given
dreams.
Pag-Asa will start this work in Libjo, Parañaque, Manila, Philippines.

Pag-Asa is based on trusting God, inspiring others to trust Him and being trustworthy to those

time with them, recognizing the individual and building relationships. We hold high the values of
reliability and wish to make a lasting change.
